needs of the communities that we serve. Or in other words,
we understand that the best thing that we can do for our
business is do the best that we can for the communities that
we operate in.
Where we
came from
PBK has been in business for over 100 years. We opened our first office
in Hustonville, Kentucky in 1906 and have been growing and expanding
ever since.
Where we
are now
We have offices in Hustonville,
Stanford (two locations), Danville, Junction City, and Mount Vernon.
What PBK
stands for
PBK stands for Peoples Bank of
Kentucky. The long and short
of it is: We were incorporated in 1906 as “Peoples Bank of
Hustonville”. After opening two locations outside of Hustonville, in
1996 our board of directors voted to change the name to “Peoples Bank of
Kentucky” to more accurately reflect our area of service. After moving
into an area that already had a “Peoples Bank” in 1999, we made the
decision to shorten our name to “PBK Bank” to better distinguish
ourselves. Aside from some slight evolutions to our name, we have
stayed true to our founding principles while embracing new and cutting
edge ways to better serve you, our customer.
What we
provide
We have a vast array of banking services including checking and savings
accounts, certificates of deposit, IRA’s, Christmas and Vacation club
accounts, health savings accounts, as well as a loan department to
fulfill all of your financial needs. We also have a seniors club open
to anyone over the age of 50 that hosts bingo, birthday breakfasts, and
trips ranging from a nearby town to the other side of the world.
(No intergalactic travel…..yet).
Where we’re
going
PBK Bank is committed to staying at the leading edge of the banking
industry, continually implementing innovative technologies as a vehicle
to better fulfill our commitment to being the finest of community
financial institutions.
